What salary increment can you expect in Singapore in 2010?

Mercer Singapore (an HR Consultancy) conducted a salary survey in October, covering 262 companies in 11 industries.

According to the survey, on average you can expect a 3.2% salary increase in 2010. Pharmaceutical companies are expected to give out the highest increments at 4.1%. In comparison, banking and finance employees will only get 3.1% increment.

Here is a breakdown of the salary increment figures for some industries:

  • Pharmaceutical: 4.1%
  • High-tech: 3.3%
  • Aerospace: 3.2%
  • Consumer goods: 3.1%
  • Banking and finance: 3.1%
  • Chemical: 2.9%
  • Property: 2.6%
