Singapore Job Market To Make Modest Improvements In The Next Quarter

The recruitment firm Antal International conducts a regular survey of hiring and firing trends in different parts of the world. Respondents are asked whether they were currently hiring or letting go of professional / managerial staff and whether they intended to do so over the coming quarter.

Here are some of the highlights for jobs in Singapore:

  • The level of companies recruiting new staff has improved this quarter by 15%.
  • Hiring levels currently stand at 44% and are set to increase slightly over the following few months by 1%.
  • On the other side, the percentage of businesses letting staff go has risen 1%, but promises to return to 11% for the next quarter.
  • Overall, the next three months promise to see Singapore’s job market making modest, but positive, improvements.
