ManpowerGroup recently surveyed over 38,000 employers across 42 countries and territories for their annual Talent Shortage Survey.
Worldwide, 35% of people surveyed report they are experiencing difficulty filling jobs due to lack of available talent. This represents a slight rise in comparison to the 2012 survey and is the highest proportion of employers expressing concern about talent shortages since 2007.

- Supervisors
- Labourers
- Drivers
- Sales Representatives
- Engineers
- IT Staff
- Skilled Trades
- Accounting & Finance
- Teachers
As for the reasons behind the difficulty in filling these jobs in Singapore/Asia, the most commons ones are lack of technical skills, dearth of job applicants and lack of relevant experience.
