You Can Make Your Own Website, Without Hiring A Web Designer In Singapore

If you’re about to start a business venture in Singapore you might be wondering if you need to spend money on a web designer, or if it’s possible to make your own website.

Web design services in Singapore are quite expensive. However, the good news is that for most cases, you can make your own website and don’t need to hire a designer. And you don’t need to know much about HTML, coding, or the technical aspects of web design to do so.

All you need is a content management system called WordPress, which makes it very very easy to make your own website and manage it by yourself. Here are some of the things you can do with WordPress:

  • Have a basic website set up in 10 minutes flat.
  • Get pre-designed themes which you can use and customise to make your website look professional.
  • Add tons of functionality which businesses usually need for their websites, with the click of a button. This includes a blog, social networking capabilities, online stores, business directories, job boards, classifieds and so on.

You could hire a web designer to make a logo for you, or for small things here and there, but other than that you can do everything yourself. I used a web designer in Singapore for one of my first sites and it did look good. However, the way many designers here work is to be very focussed on aesthetics and less on practicality and scalability. So it was not easy for me to update, add or change things on the website. I had to keep running back to the designer, which took time and kept costing me money. Also it was a headache to add any new functionality that I wanted. Not good.z

After moving to WordPress, everything has been a breeze.
